Phase 1·Reconnaissance
Baseline · Exam format · First impression of oral
5
days
1

Take a PD2 past-paper reading section cold — no study first. Time yourself (45 min). Score it. This number is your honest baseline.

2

Read the grammar overview: V2 word order, tense system, modal verbs, adjective agreement. Don't memorise — just orient yourself.

3

Listen to the first 50 Oral-383 phrases with audio. Don't study — just hear what PD2 Danish sounds like.

4

Read the PD2 exam format: Del1 = 2–3 min monologue (assigned topic), Del2 = examiner dialogue (about you and your daily life).

Note: Don't study before the cold paper — the discomfort is the point. You need to see your real starting point, not a flattering one.

Phase 2·Oral Priority
Oral-383 · Oral-3783 · Del1 framework · Del2 flexibility · Self-recording
days
1

Daily oral warm-up (non-negotiable): 15 min Oral-383 flashcards + 20 min Del1 practice + 15 min Del2 practice. Do this before anything else.

2

Complete all 383 Oral-383 phrases by the midpoint of this phase. Shadow with audio, not just reading.

3

Oral-3783: do 100 phrases per session, flashcard mode with audio — listen first, then say the phrase, then check.

4

Del1 framework (master this): Greeting → Topic intro (1 sentence) → Point 1 + example → Point 2 + personal experience → Point 3 + opinion → Wrap-up. Practise with 5 topics per session.

5

Del2 drill: practise 10 common examiner follow-up types. Key skill: give a 2-sentence answer, then add one elaboration. Never answer with just 'ja'.

6

Self-record every 3–5 days: Del1 monologue (2–3 min) + Del2 mock (5 min, self-Q&A). Listen back critically — count grammar errors, note missing vocabulary.

7

Grammar: one topic per week, applied in oral. Fix whichever error appears most in your recordings.

danpicbook/grammar
8

Vocabulary: learn 15–20 new words per day, applied in oral sentences immediately.

Note: Oral counts double in the scoring formula. Putting 60% of your time here is not optional — it's arithmetic.

Phase 3·Reading + Writing Safety Net
Timed past papers · Email + description formats · Grammar consolidation
days
1

Oral maintenance (non-negotiable minimum): 30 min daily. Don't let it drop to zero.

2

Reading: work through PD2 past papers under 45-minute time pressure. Strategy: skim structure first → read questions → find evidence → eliminate.

danpicbook/pd2/reading
3

Reading tip: contrast words (men, derimod, til gengæld) almost always indicate where the answer is. Underline them.

4

Writing — formal email: Kære [name] → purpose in first sentence → polite body → Med venlig hilsen. Practise 1 email from a past-paper prompt per session.

danpicbook/pd2/writing
5

Writing — short description/report: intro sentence → 2–3 factual points → brief conclusion. At PD2, accuracy beats complexity. Short correct sentences outscore long incorrect ones.

6

Grammar consolidation: indefinite vs definite article (en/et/den/det/de) is the most common PD2 written error. Write 10 correction sentences per session.

Phase 4·Mock Sprint
Full mock exams · Final oral polish · Weak-point targeting
days
1

Full mock every 2 days: oral (Del1 + Del2) + reading (45 min timed) + writing (45 min timed). This is your dress rehearsal.

2

Final oral recording: listen critically — does it sound like a grade 10 performance? Varied vocabulary, complex structures, natural pauses?

3

Fix your single most persistent grammar error. Write 10 correction sentences for it. Nothing else for grammar.

danpicbook/grammar
4

Day before exam: light review only — 5 Del1 topics you know well, 50 key phrases. No new material. Sleep 8 hours.

Note: Grade 10 writing connector words: desuden · derudover · men · til gengæld · derfor · sammenfattende. Use at least 3 in each writing text.

5 Principles for Grade 10
1

Oral counts double (formula: Reading + Oral×2 + Writing ÷ 4). Spending 60% of your time on oral is arithmetic, not preference.

2

Del1: don't memorise a script per topic. Master the 3-point framework until it's automatic — then it handles any assigned topic.

3

PD2 writing: shorter, correct sentences outscore longer, error-filled ones. Target accuracy, not complexity.

4

Del2 survival phrases: 'Kan du gentage spørgsmålet?' · 'Det er et godt spørgsmål...' · 'Jeg tænker over det et øjeblik'. These buy time without losing points.

5

Record yourself every 3 days. The gap between how you sound in your head vs. how you actually sound is exactly where grade 10 is won or lost.
