PD2 Study Guide
Plan D — A1/A2 to PD2 (60 days)
PD2 Exam Structure · Scoring
Final score = (Reading + Oral×2 + Writing) ÷ 4 · Pass: total ≥ 02 AND each section ≥ 02
Daily time commitment:
At 3-4h/day, this plan is ~60 days. Phase durations shown below.
Take a PD2 reading past paper cold (45 min timed). Score it. Note: which question type costs you the most points?
danpicbook/pd2/reading →Oral self-recording (5 min): speak freely about yourself, your life, your reasons for taking PD2. Listen back — what vocabulary do you reach for but can't find?
Write your personal gap list: top 3 vocabulary areas you're missing, top 2 grammar areas, top 1 pronunciation issue. This list drives your Phase 2 priorities.
⚠ Note: A1/A2 learners' biggest trap: thinking 'I know a lot of words' = 'I can speak.' You recognise more than you can produce. Phase 2 closes that gap.
Rule: always start each session with 10 min oral, even when you planned to do vocab. Never separate vocab and oral into completely different days.
Vocabulary: 20 new words per day from the 2500 word list. For every new word, immediately compose one spoken sentence with it.
danpicbook/vocab →Oral-383: complete all 383 phrases with audio shadowing. Your goal: hear any phrase and produce it without hesitation.
danpicbook/pd2/speaking/oral-383 →Del1 framework: same as Plan A Phase 2. Practise with 5 topics per session. Key focus: filling the framework with YOUR vocabulary (not memorised sentences).
danpicbook/pd2/speaking/del1 →Del2 drill: the examiner will ask about your job, family, country, interests. Prepare 3 sentences on each topic — but from your real vocabulary, not from a script.
danpicbook/pd2/speaking/del2 →Self-record every 4 days. Compare recordings over time: are you reaching for fewer unknown words? Is your grammar cleaner?
Same content as Plan A Phase 3. Oral minimum: 30 min/day.
Reading: past papers timed (45 min). Focus on your weakest question type from Phase 1 diagnosis.
danpicbook/pd2/reading →Writing: email + short description, timed. At PD2, short and accurate beats long and messy.
danpicbook/pd2/writing →Oral-3783: at least 300 phrases during this phase, daily 20-minute sessions.
danpicbook/pd2/speaking/oral-3783 →Same as Plan A Phase 4: full oral + reading + writing mocks every 2 days. Fix one grammar error. Rest the day before.
Pronunciation focus: ø, å, soft-d. Listen and mimic exactly with Oral-383 audio. These three sounds separate grade 7 from grade 10 in oral.
danpicbook/pd2/speaking/oral-383 →Oral counts double (formula: Reading + Oral×2 + Writing ÷ 4). Spending 60% of your time on oral is arithmetic, not preference.
Del1: don't memorise a script per topic. Master the 3-point framework until it's automatic — then it handles any assigned topic.
PD2 writing: shorter, correct sentences outscore longer, error-filled ones. Target accuracy, not complexity.
Del2 survival phrases: 'Kan du gentage spørgsmålet?' · 'Det er et godt spørgsmål...' · 'Jeg tænker over det et øjeblik'. These buy time without losing points.
Record yourself every 3 days. The gap between how you sound in your head vs. how you actually sound is exactly where grade 10 is won or lost.
